Intrauterine Adhesion

Intrauterine Adhesions are bands of adhesions and scars tissues that are formed in the cavity of the womb following a uterine procedure. It is also called Asherman’s syndrome.  This condition can cause abnormality in periods and more often infertility. It can vary from mild to severe forms. The diagnosis can be confirmed and treated by hysteroscopy, the outcome of which is usually good with mild form and poor with the severe form. Where Asherman’s syndrome is severe , surrogacy may be considered in consultation with your doctor.
